MouseShift is a commodity for OS2.0 which allows to use the right mouse
button as a shift key when doing multiselection. There are other similar
programs around, but this one has a feature I haven't seen anywhere else.
To multiselect you do the following:
- Press left button as usual.
- While still holding down left button, press right button.
- Keep right button pressed and click on the items you want to multiselect.
- When done, release right button.
Note that Workbench and many other programs treat the right button as an
'undo' key: that is, if you press it while still holding the left button,
the current operation (which could be rubberbanding some icons, drawing a
line, and so on) is aborted. Other programs similar to MouseShift lose
this capability, since right mouse button is used for multiselection; but
I have managed to provide both features. The only difference is that the
'undo' operation is taken when you RELEASE the right button, instead of
pressing it.
